![]() The Republic Bashkortostan flag represents a rectangular three-coloured panel with an emblem, consisting of horizontal equal strips on width: the top strip of dark blue colour, average - white colour, bottom - green colour. In the centre of a white strip golden colour represents an emblem - a circle in which there is the stylised flower of a kuraja consisting of 7 petals. A parity of width of a flag to its length - 2:3 (originally till 2003 - 1:2). The top, average and bottom strips make till 1/3 width of a flag, the circle settles down in the flag centre, and its diameter makes 1/8 lengths or 1/4 width of a flag. In the Republic Bashkortostan flag dark blue colour means clearness, virtue and cleanliness of thoughts of the people of republic, white - their peaceful disposition, an openness, readiness for cooperation; green - freedom, eternity of a life. A kuraja flower - a friendship symbol, 7 its petals which are settling down in the centre of a white strip, symbolise 7 sorts which have begun consolidation and a unification of the people of Bashkortostan in its territory. A circle framing a flower, - a sign on eternal movement. Dark blue and white colours of a flag coincide with colours of a flag of Russia.
